A Traditional Lyricism Evening Performed by "Chorale Al Fayhaa’” in Kalamoun
The AUL alumna association has invited "Chorale Al Fayhaa’ "to perform a traditional lyricism evening at the university campus with the presence of sociable, cultural, and educational figures.
The celebration started by the national anthem. Then, there was a speech by Henry Zoughaib, the poet, congratulating the chorale on its international awards especially the 2 awards of best chorale and best maestro at the Chopin Academy Music Festival where 24 ensembles participated from all over the world.
The ensemble performed a bouquet of cultural, national, and folkloric songs in different languages such as Arabic, Armenian, Syrian, and English. They had an original style that mixed originality with folklore to form a new lyricism culture. The performers depended basically on their throats rather than musical instruments to take the audience to a relaxing world different than the insane world we live in.
At the end, two shields were presented to the chorale: one from Dr. Charif Chihab, the representative of the chairmen counsel, and the other from Mr. Abbas Salloum, the president of the alumna association.
