AUL is offering an accelerated “Applied Certificate Program” on appropriate developmental practices in Schools on Early Childhood Programs, serving Children from Birth through age 8. The program is designed to enhance the trainees teaching skills in the areas of teaching methodology, curriculum implementation, classroom management and other varied specific needs in this field.
 
The Program
 
The program has 6 main modules where the best results are obtained from customizing them. The deliverables will be: implementation in the trainees’ classrooms followed by a follow up site visit.
 
Time Frame
 
Certificates courses will be given for a period of six weeks. Starting in summer July, ending August.
 
The course is aided for:
  1. ECE teachers interested in upgrading their skills.

  2. ECE teachers aiming to work as administrators in pre-school setting.
    N.B. Participants must speak, read and write English.
Follow-Up Instructional Support
 
Purpose: To provide ongoing support and to address the needs of teachers and administrators registered in the program so as to provide effective implementation.
 
Upon the completion of the program, student teachers will be able to:
  • Utilize educational theories in a classroom setting
  • Engage students in differentiated learning
  • Promote holistic development as integral part of the educational process
  • Adapt teaching styles to meet students’ needs and accommodate new trends in education
  • Embrace integrated through the use of media & technology
  • Implement curricular activities that are culturally sensitive
  • Create effective lesson plans in utilizing research as a key tool for cognitive development. Ensure open and professional communication channels between teacher and community
