Overview

The CCE department offers Bachelor of Science in Computer & Communication Engineering (3 years-110 credits) and Master of Science in Computer and Communication Engineering (2 years-46 credits) which are accredited by the Ministry of Education & Higher Education in Lebanon (MEHE) and its graduates are entitled to be members in the Lebanese Order of Engineers. The CCE department aims to help students explore their potentials and combine them with knowledge, skills and abilities so as to be exposed to the theoretical and major applied experiences. It also aims to prepare leaders in different fields such as electronics, programming, networking, and telecommunication. The program is designed to be aligned with the highest quality standards to pursue successful careers in many related fields.

Program Educational Objectives

The educational objective of the Mechatronics Engineering (MEE) program is to yield individuals who:
  • Design, automate, and manage mechatronic systems or processes.
  • Tackle new issues by adapting new technologies and paradigms or by proposing new solutions after performing systematical investigation on the state of the art developments.
  • Participate in a team and communicate their knowledge, ideas and views.
  • Respect environmental aspects, ethical and technology standard, economical concerns, and society values.

Program Outcome Objectives

  • An ability to identify, formulate, and solve complex engineering problems by applying principles of engineering, science, and mathematics.
  • An ability to apply engineering design to produce solutions that meet specified needs with consideration of public health, safety, and welfare, as well as global, cultural, social, environmental, and economic factors.
  • An ability to communicate effectively with a range of audiences.
  • An ability to recognize ethical and professional responsibilities in engineering situations and make informed judgments, which must consider the impact of engineering solutions in global, economic, environmental, and societal contexts.
  • An ability to function effectively on a team whose members together provide leadership, create a collaborative and inclusive environment, establish goals, plan tasks, and meet objectives.
  • An ability to develop and conduct appropriate experimentation, analyze and interpret data, and use engineering judgment to draw conclusions.
  • An ability to acquire and apply new knowledge as needed, using appropriate learning strategies.
