Greeting from Adnan Hamzeh, Ph.D - President
On the behalf of all AUL members, I expand a warm welcoming to students, parents, faculty, colleagues, and all those who incessantly contribute in the benevolence of our society.
In 2007 AUL became a University and changed from the Business and Computer University College to a University with three faculties: Arts and Humanities, Business Administration, Sciences and Fine Arts. AUL currently better identifies the scope and range of the University’s academic programs, the growth of its students' populations and its commitment to academic excellence. The University enrolls approximately 4,000 students in its campuses and study centers across the country.
During an era of spectacular change, especially in Lebanon, AUL has continued to support an optimistic view towards the future of the whole society. Accordingly, AUL is always ready to help people recognize what is possible, through innovation and change, while maintaining an appreciation for what is best in the past.
AUL believes that problems caused by the technology advancement can be solved because technology can also contribute in self-correcting and humane. AUL conceives that forecasts of depleted resources, population explosion, genocidal wars, and depletion of humanity can be effectively countered because the accumulated technology of the world is dynamic and adequate to the task of pursuing better alternatives. Indeed, the university believes that “learning” is both supported by, and directed towards, the achievement of three particular hallmarks: freedom, choice, and compassion. The university is deliberately innovative and determined to have a positive and significant impact on solutions to the great problems facing mankind.
Through the university’s academic affairs development, all resources allocated to the sole purpose of supporting the highest level of excellence for faculty at AUL as they look for preparing students to challenge technology implications as well as to excel in both academic and non-academic fields. We accomplish this essential objective through a sound advancement of Academic Policies and Procedure, faculty employment and development.
