AUL aspires to be one of the nation’s leading universities recognized for excellence and innovation in education, contribution to the advancement of knowledge and commitment to serve the community.

The need for growth and expansion to meet the needs of Lebanon and the region including establishment of new faculties, programs and research centres.
The desire to seek international accreditation at both program and institutional level.

Finally, the entire the strategic planning development effort is greatly influenced by the AUL’s Management’s commitment to do things differently and establish a culture of quality and continuous enhancement with clear focus and strategic direction. The decision to proceed with such an effort was not only timely, but also provided an opportunity for the university community to learn and share their collective wisdom gained through extensive engagement and continuous feedback.

Since its creation, the audit and quality assurance office at AUL University is working on monitoring and enhancing the teaching, research, and student services at AUL. The office is making sure that the levels of all academic and administrative units at the university are up to the expected level of all stakeholders (students, faculty, instructors, alumni, administration, and community).

One of the first steps of the audit and quality assurance office was to get the ISO 9001:2008 certification for its processes, thus ensuring that its operations meet international standards.

Our office will remain keen to provide the best for our students and faculty in order to improve their experience and level of education so as to be up to the national and international standards and requirements of the continuously changing workplace and to be active members in their community.

We also monitor the quality of teaching and research. Getting international accreditation of university academic departments is currently a high priority. The efforts done in this direction have resulted in many international agreements for the exchange of students with leading universities in France, UK, Russia, and the USA. Moreover; the department of computer and communication engineering has been awarded the European accreditation for engineering programs label (EUR-ACE). We are currently working on getting similar accreditations for the other academic departments and for the university as a whole from well-known European and American accreditation agencies.
Arts, Sciences and Technology University in Lebanon (AUL) Governance Framework is designed to facilitate effective decision making, ensure accountability to both internal and external stakeholders and encourage openness; it is participatory in nature thus providing opportunities to different stakeholders including the university shareholders, Executive Management, faculty, staff, students and members of the wider community to play a meaningful role in its overall decision-making process and oversight. The interdependence of various members of the university community and their delegated responsibilities establish the basis for effective participation and accountability at the university.
