The Banking & finance program at the Faculty of Business Administration was established to prepare graduates for careers in various areas. Our Program enables students to discharge technical and managerial function for life-long career development. The program introduces students to the theoretical, scientific and practical basis that enables them to acquire professional competences that meet future needs and job opportunities in Lebanon, Arab world, and   international firms.

The mission of the Banking & Finance Department supports the mission of the Faculty of Business Administration and the University by:

  • Preparing students & graduates for various careers in the Banking & Finance field, motivating them to face the escalating market challenges and to measure our performance against the highest international Banking & Finance major standards.
  • Providing the highest quality learning and teaching environment for the greater wellbeing of Banking & Finance students and deliver outstanding management educational portfolio.
  • Producing graduates fully equipped to achieve the highest personal and professional standards.
  • Making a significant, sustainable and socially responsible contribution to Lebanon and Arab world, promoting management growth and culture wellbeing.



The vision of the Banking & Finance Department is to develop the nation’s most promising students and most outstanding staff and to be a truly an integrated school benefiting Lebanese and Arab world societies in the business sector.


Program Objectives:

The Objective of the Banking & Finance Program is to:

  • Provide an outstanding learning experience by setting out an educational environment in which learners specialize in the field of banking and finance.
  • Validate the skills necessary for learners to tackle problems within the Banking & Finance industry.
  • Enable students to integrate key financial concepts, theories and skills across different courses.
  • Strengthen students' ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Instill in students an appreciation of differences in cultures and values.

Banking & Finance Program Learning Outcomes

Knowledge and Understanding:

(K1) Clarify the integration of Banking & finance with business domains.

(K2) Understand the mechanism of banking industry, investment procedures, financial assets allocations and financial strategies within a business.

(K3)     Analyze and practice application of diverse finance theories and models.

(K4) Provide a foundation in the methods and applications of evaluation in the fields of finance.

(K5) Handle methods of managing funds.


Intellectual Skills:

(I1) Develop a sound understanding of concepts/theories of Banking & Finance.
